Here’s to Woman P.I.s

It’s not that I don’t love the guy P.I.’s — Spencer, Marlowe, etc. — but mystery novels with a woman private eye are about as common as root canals for chickens.  Here’s a gathering place for those who like to read them and those who like to write them.  With luck it may encourage authors to write a few more.

Check out the Lists for authors you’ve missed. Use the Suggest page for ones I’ve missed.  Meanwhile put your feet on the desk and raise a glass to the few…the proud…the woman private eyes.

M. Ruth Myers writes the Maggie Sullivan mysteries featuring a woman P.I. in the 1930s/40s.
